Adrian is a founding partner of Adrian Lee & Partners. Before founding this firm in 1999, Adrian was Managing Director of JP Morgan Investment Management’s Currency Overlay group in London. Prior to developing and managing currency overlay at Morgan, Adrian was responsible for developing JP Morgan’s tactical currency models in the Capital Markets Research Group in New York. Prior to joining JP Morgan, Adrian worked for Winklevoss and Associates (Consulting Actuaries) in Philadelphia and at the University of Pennsylvania as a lecturer in Statistics. Adrian is the author of several publications on global asset allocation and currency hedging; he was awarded the International Quantitative Group prize for outstanding research in 1990 for his work on currency. He was responsible for much of JP Morgan’s and the industry’s original research and development work in the area of currency overlay management and is recognized globally as one of the founders of currency overlay. Adrian holds an MA in Mathematical Economics & Statistics from Trinity College, Dublin and an MBA in Finance & Actuarial Science from the Wharton School. Outside of work, Adrian enjoys offshore sailing and fencing.
Philip is Head of Portfolio Management at Adrian Lee & Partners. Philip is a member of the discretionary alpha team, the senior management team and he is a partner in the Firm. Philip joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2000 as Trader before moving into the portfolio team in 2005. Philip was promoted to head of portfolio management in 2011 and is responsible for overseeing all client portfolios and servicing. Philip has also worked at Barclay’s Global Investors as a senior asset allocation portfolio manager working in the client solutions group between 2007-2010. Prior to joining the buy side Philip worked in New York and London for Republic National Bank of NY and Credit Suisse focusing on FX options and sales. He has also worked in Tokyo for RNB managing the hedge fund sales desk. Philip studied law at Trinity College in Dublin. In his free time, Philip enjoys playing tennis and cycling.
Gordon is Deputy Head of Portfolio Management and joined the Firm in 2021. He holds an MSc in Economics and Finance from Warwick Business School, a BSc in Economics from University of Warwick and is a CFA Charterholder. Much of his career was spent at BlackRock as Managing Director and head of Macro for Systematic Fixed Income. Gordon also spent time at Winton and Citadel as a Portfolio Manager. He has over 18 years of experience in systematic macro portfolio management. Outside of work, Gordon enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and snowboarding.
Danica joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2022 as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Sales APAC . Danica spends most of her time talking to Australasian investors about how to manage currency risk. Danica has over 20 years’ experience in the investment management industry, including Head of Currency Overlay & Solution Sales at National Australia Bank and Head of Investment Specialists at Citi. Her career started in research, she worked at both the RBNZ and RBA – before becoming the currency strategist for BNZ. She has a Masters in Economics and has completed the CFA program. When not thinking about investments, Danica competes in the sport of weightlifting and enjoys scuba diving.
Daria joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2019 as a PM Assistant. In 2023 Daria was promoted to Senior Portfolio Manager and was made a partner in the Company. She has a Bachelors degree (Hons) in International Business and Economics from Vladivostok State University of Economics and Services as well as an MSc in Finance from Trinity College Dublin. Daria has previous experience as a financial analyst for Trinity Student Managed Fund and interned with Adrian Lee & Partners in 2017. She is a CFA Level III Candidate. In her free time, Daria enjoys yoga, spiritual development and hiking.
Liam joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2014 as a Portfolio Manager. He was promoted to Senior Portfolio Manager in 2019. He holds an MSc in Finance from Trinity College Dublin and a BA in Economics and Politics from NUI Galway. He is a CFA Charterholder. In his free time, Liam enjoys sports and travel.
Mike joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2019 as a global macro portfolio manager and was made a partner of the firm in 2021. Previously Mike was a founding and managing partner of a global macro hedge fund, Atreaus Capital and prior to that worked on proprietary trading desks at JP Morgan and Barclays Capital. He holds a BA in Financial Services from Bournemouth University. Mike’s biggest passions are his family, macro investing and he enjoys playing most sports especially football and golf.
Ozan is a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at Adrian Lee & Partners and has been with the firm since 2007. Previously Ozan worked in various rolls across Citibank and RBS Group. He holds a BA in Financial Services from the Dublin Business School where he maintains close ties and was later invited back to re-validate a degree program. Recreationally, Ozan enjoys sea swimming, cycling and collecting retro games.
Rudy joined Adrian Lee and Partners in 2023 as a Portfolio Assistant having attained an MSC in Finance from Trinity College Dublin, where he graduated at the top of his cohort. Previously Rudraksh Interned as an Arbitrage Research Analyst in the asset management industry of India, where he contributed to Derivatives Portfolio research. In his free time, Rudy loves to play tennis.
Daire joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2009, as a capital markets research analyst. He was promoted to Co-Head of Capital Market Research in 2010 and to Director of Research in 2012. Daire holds a BA in Theoretical physics from Trinity College Dublin, and an MSc in High Performance Computing also from Trinity. Previously Daire worked at International Investment and Underwriting, where he built the models behind their quantitative European market neutral equity hedge fund.
Ciara joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2004 as Office Manager. She was promoted to Partner in 2006 and joined the Board of Directors in 2010. Ciara is also a member of Adrian Lee & Partners Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Previously she worked for KOTRA the Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Republic of South Korea, where she was responsible for market research development. Ciara studied Business at DLSC. Ciara is a voluntary committee member for the Wicklow branch of Down Syndrome Ireland. In her free time, she enjoys sea swimming with her children and is a ballet enthusiast.
David joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2018 as a capital markets research analyst and was made a partner in 2021. Previously David worked at Lombard Odier Investment Managers in both London and Geneva, where he built systematic tactical asset allocation models for institutional investors. He holds an MSc in Investment and Wealth Management from Imperial College London and a BSc in Economics from the University of Bath. In his free time, David enjoys running, ski-touring and cycling.
Sarah joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2023 as a Quantitative Analyst. Prior to joining Adrian Lee & Partners Sarah was a Senior Associate at Paravene Capital – Investments and Structuring. She began her career at Societe Generale on the Emerging Markets and Rates Trading desk. Sarah holds an MSc from the University of Paris, Pantheon-Sorbonne and an MSc in Economics and Finance from City University of Hong Kong. She is currently a Level 1 Candidate in the CFA Program. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys reading and travelling.
Richard joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2022 as the firm’s International Economist. He started his career as an economist at the British Treasury, with his final role at the Treasury being Head of Foreign Exchange Reserve Management, responsible for the investment of the UK’s foreign exchange reserves. Richard worked as the European Economist for Schroders Investment Management and later as Head of Macroeconomics for Lombard Street Research. Prior to joining Adrian Lee & Partners Richard was a Senior Portfolio Manager for Australian Super, the second largest superannuation scheme in Australia. He has been a part-time economic advisor to the Treasury Select Committee of the British House of Commons and holds a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics. Outside of work, Richard enjoys reading.
Evan joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2018. Evan is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation holder and holds the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA institute. He graduated from his Bachelors in 2017 with 1st Class honors and has completed a Masters of Finance in Trinity College Dublin. Prior to joining the firm, Evan gained valuable experience in the Australian financial services sector with Ure Lynam & Co, a boutique corporate finance and investment management company in Sydney. Evan enjoys learning languages in his spare time and reading foreign language books. He aims to achieve a single-digit golfing handicap.
Nigel is a founding partner of Adrian Lee & Partners. Previously Nigel worked for JP Morgan Investment Management from 1995 to 1999 as Vice President and Global Head of Foreign Exchange Trading. Prior to JPMIM, Nigel gained extensive market experience in the employment of Barclays de Zoete Wedd, which he joined in 1985. During his tenure he was a trader in the foreign exchange spot market, interest rate market, and held the position of an executive in corporate sales, involving foreign exchange, interest rate and derivative products.
Tim joined Adrian Lee & Partners as a currency trader in 2005 and was made partner in 2007. Prior to joining, Tim worked in the treasury department of Invesco Asset Management in Dublin. He obtained a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from University College Dublin in 1999. Tim is motivated by the desire to contribute positively to the financial wellbeing of our clients through our firms’ work. In his spare time he enjoys rugby, tennis, music and reading.
Rabia joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2022 as Senior Partner and Global Head of Business Development. Rabia has worked in Currency Management for over 20 years, previously as Head of Portfolio Management at Insight Investment and as Senior Vice President at Pareto Investment Management. Her other roles have included Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer for ESG start-ups and Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge. She holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, MSc (Econ) Operational Research from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BSc (Hons) Mathematics from Queen Mary, University of London. She holds the Investment Management Certificate from CFA Society of the UK. Rabia is an ambassador for diversity and inclusion. She enjoys travel and cinema.
Scott is responsible for North American Business Development. Before joining Adrian Lee & Partners in 2022, he was Head of Marketing & Investor Relations at FQS Capital Partners where he oversaw the sales and client service functions in North America. Prior to that he was a Managing Director, Marketing & Sales for UBP Alternative Investments where he managed the sales and client service teams with a focus on institutional clients and consultants. Scott has also worked at FRM Investments USA LLC, Advent Capital Management LLC, Ivy Asset Management Corp and J.P. Morgan. Scott has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University. He is a CFA and CAIA charterholder and currently holds the Series 3. He has previously held the Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses.
Partner, Head of Compliance and Risk Management, Head of Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Nichola joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2018. A qualified Barrister, Nichola practised at the Bar of Ireland for a number of years before joining the regulatory compliance department of a large credit institution, where she provided specialised regulatory compliance advice to the treasury, wholesale institutional banking and investment areas. Following her time there Nichola was employed as a Senior Compliance Manager in the Irish regulated entity of a major international financial services organisation. Nichola holds an Hons LLB in Law, Higher Diploma in Business Studies, Barrister at Law Degree, Higher Diploma in Employment Law and Professional Certificate in Compliance. Outside of work, Nichola enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
Elizabeth joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2006, she is a Partner & Head of Regulatory Reporting. Elizabeth acquired IATI certification in 2002 with distinction. She has a master’s degree in accounting and has a Fellowship with the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). Prior to joining the firm Elizabeth worked in shared financial services for Pivotal Corporation headquartered in Vancouver. In her free time Elizabeth enjoys sea swimming and loves to travel.
Mark joined Adrian Lee & Partners in September 2021 as Compliance and Risk Officer. Prior to joining AL&P, he worked as a Fund Accountant in State Street in their Dublin office. Mark studied Business and Accounting at SETU (Formerly Waterford Institute of Technology). Outside of work, Mark is a keen sports enthusiast particularly Rugby, Soccer and GAA.
Nim joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2023 as Executive Assistant and Compliance Officer. Previously Nim has worked at The LEGO Group and CK Hutchison Group supporting C-Suite Executives whilst ensuring the smooth running of the offices. She brings over 10 years of experience with her and holds an LLB Law Degree. In her free time, Nim enjoys baking, reading fictional books and spending time with her family.
Usman joined Adrian Lee & Partners as Head the of Operations in June 2022. Prior to joining the firm Usman worked for a leading wealth management firm in Dublin within the Chairty finance and ESG division. He joins us with seventeen years of experience spanning from spending nine years in the regulated funds industry working for large reputable global custodian banks in both London and Dublin. Academically, he has achieved B.A Finance & Economic (National University of Ireland Maynooth) and a Diploma in Investment Funds Servicing (Institute of Bankers in Ireland). In his free time, Usman enjoys going to the gym, swimming, reading, keeping with current world affairs and making time for family.
Zain joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2022 as a Settlement Officer. Zain has over six years of experience in the financial services industry. Previously Zain worked for Susquehanna International Group, Bank of America, and State Street. Over his financial services career, Zain has been performing duties within the Risk, Settlements, and trade processing teams. Zain holds a major in Economics from University College Dublin. Zain is ambitious about mountain climbing, fishing, and playing cricket.
Helen joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2023 as a Settlement Officer. Helen has over six years of experience in the FinTech and financial services industry. Fiserv, US Bank and Bank of America ML are part of the corporations which have moulded her knowledge and skills. She holds a major in Accountancy and a HDip in Economics and Financial Risk analysis from National University of Ireland - Maynooth. Helen enjoys going to the gym and researching new cooking techniques.
Tim holds an MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Newcastle University. He has worked as a software developer for financial companies such as Zurich Financial Services, Sungard and Barclays Capital. Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, cycling covering around 7000 miles per year and caravan-ing.
David joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2022 as a senior software engineer. Previously David worked at Goldman Sachs in London, where he built Repo and Security Lending booking systems and analytic tools. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from Université de Versailles and a BSc in Information Science from Université de Savoie. In his free time, David enjoys cycling and rowing.
Jason joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2023 from Canary Wharf Group where he spent almost twelve years. He worked on some major projects with CWG notably the company's email migration to Office 365. He comes with over two and a half decades of experience in the IT industry having worked in various industries such as media, retail, construction and banking.
