Richard Batley

Richard joined Adrian Lee & Partners in 2022 as the firm’s International Economist. He started his career as an economist at the British Treasury, with his final role at the Treasury being Head of Foreign Exchange Reserve Management, responsible for the investment of the UK’s foreign exchange reserves. Richard worked as the European Economist for Schroders Investment Management and later as Head of Macroeconomics for Lombard Street Research. Prior to joining Adrian Lee & Partners Richard was a Senior Portfolio Manager for Australian Super, the second largest superannuation scheme in Australia. He has been a part-time economic advisor to the Treasury Select Committee of the British House of Commons and holds a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics. Outside of work, Richard enjoys reading.
